A few new images
I love collecting great vintage clothing and strange props and I'm in the process of shooting a new portfolio of fashion images and portraits with some of the things I've collected over the years. Here are just a couple from the first shoots...

Been a while but I'm back!
So it's been a few weeks since I've posted and in my own defense, it's because I was having a ball basking in 79 degrees and sunny out in Tucson, AZ with my family. So here is a quick catalog of images from the last few weeks with more to come.
The sky as we drove back from a quick day trip to Nogales, Mexico.
As a kid I spent weekends rummaging around in my grandfather's music store, The Chicago Store, which is celebrating 90 years this year.
I used to love digging around in the old stacks of musical instruments, boxes of strange and unidentifiable metal parts, punched out drums and broken guitars. I always managed to unearth something new and strange. They've cleaned the place up a bit since then but I still manage to find things like this, an instrument case covered in old green shag, left and forgotten.
This is a husk bucket. What more is there to say?
This is the inflatable display out in front of the home depot. I love Tucson.

Our first DIY Dumbo cooking class
So the studio is finally finished and the build doth not go on!
Last night also marked our first official DIY Dumbo event, an evening with guest chef Ezra. Ezra talked us through preparing a sumptuous Turkish meal of sea bass and peppers, spicy and subtle with the best couscous I've ever tasted. The evening was a blast, the food was incredible and we're looking forward to our next event.
If you have an idea for a class that you'd like to take or teach or are interested in booking the space for an event feel free to get in touch. You can email us at info@diydumbo.com or call us at 646.298.8008.
In the meantime, take a look at the pics form our first event.

In honor of the return of the Shwirtzes...
Welcome back to Brooklyn my friends!
I did a quick portrait shoot in their apartment just before I left town on my last trip. And a few weeks later they moved back to New York!
